If you’ve ever been interested in being a low-key detective like Jessica Fletcher, also known as a “historian,” please watch this great video from Las Angeles Public Library on how you can use seemingly innocuous resources such as city directories to track people in the past (and find queerness along the way). These are also cool resources to look through to see how your city changed over time or to find where relatives lived long ago.
