Manhunt (Apple) follows John Wilkes Booth as he evades capture and the people trying to hunt him down. The star recently explained why he’s so frequently cast in historical pieces saying “I got a face that looks like it can’t comprehend the internet.” That was enough to get me interested. The other actors are not striving to look like the men trying to find Lincoln’s killer, and it’s a little slow at times, but it is a vibe for people who love historical costuming and drama. (This is filling a Gilded Age-shaped hole in my heart).
Girls on the Bus (Max) This is kind of giving “If Aaron Sorkin remembered women existed” vibes and feels more like the 30 Rock- era political landscape than our own, but I’m enjoying it.
