Sidebar: Shonda Rhimes, Queer Memory, and Detective Drama – This Week’s Top Picks
The Residence, Ludwig, and Amy Poehler's new podcast!
This is my weekly roundup of links and recommendations. If we talked IRL, I’d likely derail our entire conversation with “Sidebar, have you read | watched | listened | deep dived on this?”
I loved sharing Amy’s Pop Culture Diary this week! To share your own, fill out this form. I’d love to include it in Landline!
I am appalled at the threats to museums, libraries, and archives (especially their capacity to preserve and interpret inclusive histories). I created Collecting Stories in part because I wanted to give folx a chance to share their own collections (loosely defined), AND to highlight the great work of librarians, archivists, and museum professionals. I’d love to share your collection stories! Fill out this form, and I’ll be in touch. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
Have you watched?
I am so thrilled to have a Shonda Rhimes’ production back in my life. The Residence (Netflix) debuted on Thursday, the 20th and I LOVED the first episode. Uzo Aduba is a national treasure. Highly recommend.
Ludwig (BritBox). I have not seen this yet but it’s a detective show in which a man is forced to play his own twin to explore why his brother disappeared so suddenly. Need I say more?
