I just stumbled on House of Eliott, a show of two sisters in the 1920s who embark on careers as designers when their father dies, leaving them in debt. I know this show is from the 1990s, and many may know it, but the thrill of finding a new fun period drama is a joy. (Britbox)
I am watching The Valley, Season 2, on Bravo and wow, it should live in the dictionary under “the opposite of joy.” Seeing people in their 30s/40s navigate middle age on reality tv is really something. Bravo seems equally ill-equipped to know how to transition its stars from bars (Vanderpump Rules) to suburbia.
